The rush...

Its Friday...and tomorrow is the last Saturday of June.
So it's market time at Wyetti.

Its also one of those weekends where it'd be good to be 3 people.
Sigh

But!
For tomorrow I've marked certain stock with gold dots and some with silver dots.
So its discount hunting time at Wonder Struck Inc's table!
Gold dots give you 30% off the tag price and silver dots give you 50%  off the tag price!
And! Spend more than R200 and you'll get 10% off the entire purchase...with or without the discount dots.
Not kidding.

Its going to hopefully be a huge, busy, sales day for the stallholders and for Wonder Struck Inc.

So much geekery...so much goodness

Wow, June has just been great, even more so this last week.
Kindof....
2 weeks ago, my beloved horsebeast had night visitors in his stable and they stole his saddle in the process. Then, this Friday night that just passed...they visited again, only to steal both his blankets right off of poor Sonny's back.
So, I've made the very costly decision to finally move him to a friend's stable, where not only will he be safer, but so will his very costly equipment and clothing...

so besides THAT... yes, June has been FANTASTICAL to Wonder Struck Inc.

It's temporary...

our temporary Etsy store banner (while our graphic designer is on haitus)

Email isn't always all it's cracked up to be, when you send fonts and changes listed to your graphic designer and a then resend it a month after no response.
Considering how much work has already gone into the work with him, I'm not about to give up just yet...
So, in the meantime, I've loaded a banner so that my poor Etsy page doesn't look so lost and empty.

Last night was dreadful weather so...We didn't go to our usual monthly night market at Henley Arms.
I don't think my lungs and cough would have survived it.
So, I started listing more items and loading the coupon code for a 35% discount STORE WIDE!
When buying on our Etsy store, on checkout there's a box that says Coupon Code, in that box you'll use HAVE35OFF so that you can get 35% discount on all items (this doesn't extend to the shipping costs, so please take note of that).
This discount will run until 24 June 2012 *only*, so the discount won't be valid after that.
I really wouldn't mind the support during the sale, as this morning was a small run of badluck when I got to the horse's stable this morning, to find that my brand new saddle had been stolen during the course of last night.
So most of what I sell now will have to go towards a new saddle savings mission *le sigh*

The bad luck didn't last too long and I've been making so much rad cuteness and awesome with hama beads today!
Rings, brooches (which have already been listed on Etsy) and I'm about to start with a few necklaces.
So much of fun and stuff!

I've been so inspired by all the creative that I'm still up at 1am, dressed in gloves and scarves and double socks and double jerseys as I work through this very very...very cold winter evening.

Night market shinanigans....June

It's time for our monthly night market, happening at Henley Arms, from 6pm.
The Henley Arms is in Ewelme road, Henley-on-klip and we'd be bowled over if you joined and came to say hi.
We always seem to run a little late in getting there, but we're usually next to Astra, our pink-salt-selling-market-mom.
There'll be some new pieces to see on our table, especially for pixel geeks ;)

Seasonal...

Ah wow. May was indeed a rough month for Wonder Struck Inc.
Though we did *exceptionally* well at our Wyetti Market stall, I was unproductive for about a week, what with being owned by flu and all.

June has started off quietly, and we're anxiously waiting to get started with all our new products and collaborations with some very talented humans.

Some of our new products will be available for a sneak peek at tomorrow night's market at Henley Arms.
It's also the owner's birthday and we're dressing up in the theme of the evening: Arabian Nights.
Come by for some crafts, drinking and fun ;)
So onward into June.
Lots of newness, new hairstyle/colour, new products, new collaborations, new customers...and lots of good business!

Despite being full of flu and trying to fight through with a whole list of meds taken at intervals and a huge flask of hot black tea...
I've also been doing loads of work on Wonder Struck Inc today. LOTS OF WORK
We have THREE, yes THREE, collaborations lined up.
The first being Squareheads, which I've been mentioning for almost a year now (yup, we're still working on it!)
then I have a full on Wonder Struck Inc project set coming up with Maruchka (for shirts) and then with a very special vinyl toy arteest for some geeky girl jewellery (very excited about it.)
Then... I've just spent a small fortune ordering more stock components online right now for more Wonder Struck awesome.

Though we had a FANTASTICAL sales day at Wyetti this last Saturday, and we have our usual monthly night market coming up on the 8th of June at Henley Arms, we're planning a cleaning out sale throughout our Etsy shop and via our direct sales (through here on our blog, on our Facebook, on our Twitter or via our email).

The sale will run from 10 June 2012 till 24 June 2012, and will be 35% off all our stock.

Keep your eyes on our blog and twitter for the code that you will HAVE to use in order to qualify for the discount, even if you're not on Etsy and are ordering from us through other electronic means.

What a day!

I have to first express my complete appreciation and gratitude for a truly great day!

Wonder Struck sales were so good today, new and regular customers alike supported us in full force at the Wyetti Market, in Henley today.
So thank you! thank you! thank you!

And despite sitting infront of the notebook, with a heater blazing to warm up a very cold room, and an onset of apparent sickness.... I'm here working, on the blog, on Etsy specials (discounts galore! coming up) and on new products.
On a Saturday night!

Gah!

While our internet provider's signal hassles have been hassling Wonder Struck and many others, we've slipped through to continue working on new projects.
Alone I am limited in my creativity, but working with others I get to work with people who have different tastes and styles, and we get to put it altogether into something unique and awesome.
So that's part of the direction I seem to be pushing Wonder Struck Inc. for.
As complex and interestingly layered as we are, we should embrace all the little parts of ourselves, like being geeky over vinyl toys, comic books and slipping Tracy Chapman tracks into my death metal playlists (haha), nerdy t-shirts and kind of understanding the 'embrace' of International Towel Day.

These are just some of the flavours I've always wanted Wonder Struck Inc. to express... and it will!

Dancing... in the rain.

Well... it feels like forever since I've updated. Probably because of how much has been done since the last update!

A *complete* stock count has been completed. Pricelists and accounts updated.
We have a snazzy photographer playing with the stock and... we've still got another 12 days before our next market.

Also...the work on the logo is just going so well! I can hardly wait for it all to be finalised!

John and I have also made some progress on Squareheads stuff... which you'll have to check on the blog for ;)
